ADD is a distractable vertebral body replacement for the surgical reconstruction in partial or complete corpectomies, due to spinal defects or instabilities of the anterior cervical and thoracic spine (C3–T3).

ADD can be used for the surgical reconstruction in partial or complete corpectomies, due to spinal defects or instabilities of the adult human anterior cervical and thoracic spine (C3–T3).
The implant is used to bridge the intervertebral space created during vertebral body resections and supports the anterior spine until fusion of the adjacent vertebral bodies.
Depending on actual segment height, an anterior or lateral approach can be selected for the use of ADD.
Implantation requires additional ventral stabilisation using a plate system or dorsal stabilisation via a screw-rod system.
