Airlock® Plating System

Airlock® Plating System

NOVASTEP

Airlock® plating system

The Airlock® plating system is a range of osteosynthesis plates for the forefoot, midfoot and rearfoot, made of titanium alloy. It combines a low profile plate design dedicated to each indication, a compression hole, and a monoaxial and polyaxial screw system to ensure a stable and rigid fixation.

The Presslock® technology provides a locking compression hole that ensures a stable construct.

The osteosynthesis screw-plate systems are indicated for arthritis (hallux rigidus, osteoarthritis), hallux valgus and other bone alignment defaults (hallux varus, flatfoot, cavus foot).

MTP Plates

Standard & Short MTP Plates:

The screw hole design of the MTP plates keep the overall thickness to less than 1.4mm. The anatomic plates are designed with 0° dorsiflexion, delivering 15° of metatarsophalangeal dorsiflexion while preserving 10° anatomical phalangeal valgus.

The standard and long plates have a proximal oblong hole for an additional point of fixation and compression.

Long (revision) MTP Plate: The long plate was designed to preserve soft tissue structures surrounding the MTP joint, by tapering the distal.

For improved strength, the long MTP plate increases in thickness to 1.6mm along the joint line.

The long plate includes a porthole for the insertion of graft into the fusion site once the plate is secured.

Fusion Plates

Fusion plates feature the Presslock® technology, a locking compression hole allowing for an additional 1.5 mm compression before locking into a threaded hole, providing strength and stable fixation.

Available in a variety of lengths, in both straight and H designs, these plates are engineered for universal application throughout the midfoot and rearfoot for the fixation of osteotomies, fractures and arthrodeses.

Lapidus Plates

The Lapidus low-profile plates are 1.3 mm thick, reducing the risk of hardware prominence in areas where there is minimal soft tissue, except in the Presslock® hole area where thickness increases. All plates feature the Presslock® technology, allowing an additional 1.5 mm of fixed linear compression with an axially stable 3.5mm locking screw.

Locking and non-locking screws of Ø3mm and Ø3.5mm may be used in all other fixation threaded holes.

This plate is available in short and long version with right or left design.

Plantar Lapidus Plates

Indication: first metatarsal-cuneiform fusion

Range: Short plates / Long plates

Left & Right option

Presslock® compression hole: 3.5 mm locking screw

Transversal screw hole: 3.5 mm locking screw

Radius of curvature: preservation of the anterior tibial tendon

Lisfranc Plates

The 1.5mm profile of the lisfranc plates provides strength and stability as it addresses patients with shallow tissue envelopes. These plates are precontoured with a built-in ridge angle to accommodate metatarsal declination.

The curvature of the plate enables anatomical preservation and adaptation during fixation. All plates allow for the option of locking and non-locking Ø3mm or Ø3.5mm screws and include an oblong standard compression hole for additional metatarsal compression and fixation.

Utility Plates

The versatile, high-strength, low-profile utility plates are 1.5mm thick, allowing for usage in nearly all soft tissue environments and are available in a range of sizes.

The oblong standard compression hole accommodates a Ø3mm non-locking screw. Locking and non-locking screws of Ø3mm and Ø3.5mm may be used in all other fixation threaded holes.

Basal Osteotomy / Open Wedge Plates

The Basal Osteotomy plates come in left and right configurations and are only 1.0mm thick to accommodate the limitations of the soft tissue envelope of the medial column.

Three wedge sizes allow a range of opening angles, whereas the 0mm (no wedge) plate enables the fixation of closing osteotomies. All screw holes allow usage of Ø3mm or Ø3.5mm, locking and non-locking screws.
